MAXIMO GOMEZ(1836-1905)

MAXIMO GOMEZ

  • Máximo Gómez dedicated more than half of his life to make Cuba free. He became the military leader of the Cuban independence in 1895.

CALIXTO GARCIA(1839-1898)

CALIXTO GARCIA

  • Calixto García he was one of the best known Cuban insurgents. He was an essential factor in the in the U.S. military success in Cuba, he provided key intelligence to the U.S. military, including map and and information about the Spanish officers.

JOSE MARTI(1853-1895)

JOSE MARTI

  • José Martí organized the Cigar War Keys party, he joined Maximo in 1895, and was killed in action. After his dead he became a martyr of the independence and remains a hero to Cuban people.
