Cubism History
- It was one of the most influential visual art styles of the early twentieth century.
- Created by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque between 1907-1914 in Paris
- The term named after french critic Louis Vauxcelles saw Braque's landscape
- Vauxcelles called the geometric objects highly abstracted "cubes"
- Cubists rejected ideas of painting nature, instead 2 dimensional canvases
