Languages
There are many different ethnic groups and tribes, so each one has their own language.

GOVERNMENT
There are many different governments in this region, but most of them struggle.
4 of the most common forms of gov are tribal leadership, colonial role, democracy and monarchy.

Religion
This region has been influenced by both Islam and Christianity.
Also, there are a lot of local animist traditions.

Urban/Rural
In Sub-Saharan Africa, the land is mostly rural.

Family Relationships
There are a lot of people living under one house because most aren't wealthy enough for more.

Social Structure
Their social organization is strictly based on economical stand points.
They have classes, however most are in what would be considered a lower class.

Music, Literature, Art, & Fashion
They are very passionate about their music.
Their clothes are often worn down due to their environment and lack of wealth.
Literature is often limited because of high illiteracy rates.
Art is an important part of african culture. Drawings and paintings of wildlife are common.

Education
University enrollment is at an average of 5%, which is one of the lowest in the world.
Many people who should be in school need to work to support their family.
Schools are limited due to costs, and often uncommon or small.

Land Use
Where land is in desirable conditions, farming is prominent.
A lot of land is too dry and not suitable for farming, so there is empty space or small towns.

Trading Networks
Natural gases and substances such as oil are traded often.
In this region's history, gold was once and extreme export.
Gold is still traded, but not nearly as much as it use to be.

Diversity
There are several different tribes and groups spread throughout the region causing a lot of diversity.
The minorities in this region would include Hispanics and people of the Indian race.
