PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Little did she know as she kept her eyes shut,
that her life ebbed away, although no one knew,
she closed her eyes, almost impulsively,
when asked why she simply said that she had to,
she slept all of the time, unnaturally,
as the cancer within her secretly grew.

When we figured out she had leukemia,
a void tore inside that would never be healed,
as she entered the ambulance in a stretcher,
we were scared to death that her fate would be sealed,
as we followed behind a blaring ambulance,
from the fear for Natasha's life we reeled.

Three more years of chemotherapy,
three years of medicine turning the tide,
Natasha has witnessed and been through a lot,
when her hospital friend named Alex died,
after three years of leukemia treatment,
Natasha was free; the doctors had implied.

After one more year of remission from cancer,
Natasha was officially cancer-free,
I remember that time when we called 9-1-1,
and we followed the ambulance that carried-
the cancer-ridden body of Natasha,
I will never forget this moment, you see.
