• Each group represents a country
• No contact
• Description of geography and natural resources
• Decide whether you will fund a trip

Discussion questions

• Does this information change your original decision about funding exploration trips?
• Does this information change aspirations for the country?
• Would each group now fund the plans of other explorers?

Recording activity

• Write a report to be present to the monarch of your country , explaining whether the funding should be granted.
• Then, write the response of the monarch who is more informed about the position of other countries.
• The Monarch will either reject or support the decision based on the report and their existing views
