Guess What? Dolphins might Enjoy Television Just As Much As Us!
December 8, 2018 Dogo News

In December of 2018, researchers Kelly A. Winship and Holli C. Eskelinen tested dolphins in Key Largo, Florida. This took place at Dolphin Plus Marine Mammal Responder.

They took 11 bottle nose and five rough tooth dolphins in captivity and had them watch Planet Earth and Sponge Bob Squarepants. They wanted to see how smart dolphins really are.

The results showed that dolphins like both shows the same. When they were interested, they would raise their chin, blow bubbles, or press their head against the television.

An estimated 2,913 dolphins are in captivity. Dolphins in captivity can now have something else to occupy them. This will help with boredom which causes anger and depression which is common in these dolphins.

Economic
People pay a lot of money to see these dolphins in captivity. Before spending the money, you should make sure the dolphins are happy and in clean tanks where they are entertained.

These animals should enjoy life in the tank for as long as they can.

Historically
Because dolphins have been in captivity for a very long time, it is important that moving forward they stay happy and healthy.
