Disney Celebrates 90 years of Micky Mouse With Stunning Art Exhibition!

This Article Is About:

• An art exhibition in Manhattan, New York has opened up from 20 different contemporary artist.
• It has four different rooms each celebrating one special thing about Mickey.These exhibits are called "It's-Black-And-White", "Hello Mickey","Sorcerers Way" and "Cosmic Cavern".

"It's-Black-And-White" Exhibit

• This room Celebrates the early Mickey in Black-and-White comic strips
• "1928:Original Muse" was the name of the installation.
• Also this installation was there to celebrates the early and original Black-And-White comic strips

Hello Mickey Exhibit:

• This exhibit celebrates the original Steamboat Willie
• It also has a life size Steamboat Willie to represent the original Mickey on the classic Steamboat while whistling a catchy, cheerful tune.
• Fact: it was the first Disney cartoon to feature a synchronized sound

"Sorcerers Way" Exhibit

• This Exhibit has a giant sorcerers hat floating above
• he centerpiece is a painting made by the artist Oliver Clegg which he made by painting Mickeys sorcerers outfit on old theater chairs.

"Sorcerers Way" Exhibit 2:

• Fact:The choice of chairs was important because they represent the viewer and the audience.

Cosmic Cavern Exhibit:

• This exhibit is made up from a bunch of toys that Disney has used for Mickey and put them all over the walls
• This room can also turn neon by the flick of a switch and inside this neon world there lives Easter eggs from past movies and some their own.

Cosmic Cavern Exhibit 2:

• Fact: This Cosmic Cavern room is the most eye catching exhibit
• This room represents the very first licensed product that Disney had gave

This Event Is Important Because:

• Artist are showing that they care about Mickey and Walt Disney.
• Also because they might have loved Mickey since they were a child and wanted to show they still are inspired by him.

I Chose This Event Because:

• I was looking for my article and this article caught my attention.
• Also because I love Disney and Mickey so I thought this article would be fun to do for my Current Event
