WHO

  • The allies fought the german allies onnormandy beach.
  • German allies got land mines and buried them in tue sand.
  • Allies recruited men from over 12 different countries.

WHAT

  • Since france was more accupied they went to normandy beach then they fought every where else.
  • The weather was cold.
  • The fighters and bombers destroyed the german airforces.
  • They bombed all sorts of things, like bridges and rail ways mainly.

WHEN

  • June 6th is a very important date because thats when some of the concentration camps got liberated.
  • For the people who were still alive during this day were free and got to go home.

WHERE

  • Normandy beach is where this all started.
  • This beach is located near france.
  • The allied forces fought against germans and slowly started to free some of the concentration camps.

WHY

  • D-Day is important because thats when the camps got liberated.
  • Germany was no longer in power.
  • Hitler died and everyone thanked the troops who liberated the camps.
  • Elly's camp got liberated then she went home to tell her story.

HOW

  • In 1943 hitler was elected.
  • Hitler rejected the traty of versallies.
  • Hitler lead his troops to austria.
  • In 1939 hitler invaded czechoslovakia and poland.
  • On september 3rd the united kingdom,australia,france declared war on germany.
