PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Daffodils

William Wordsworth

Untitled Slide

  • I wondered lonely as a cloud
  • That floats on high o'er vales and hills
I was roaming about all by myself like a lonely cloud that floats over valleys and hills.

Untitled Slide

  • When all at once I saw a crowd ,
  • A host of golden daffodils ;
all at once I saw a crowd of golden daffodils.

Untitled Slide

  • Beside the lake beneath the trees
  • Fluttering and dancing in thr breeze
Which were fluttering and dancing in the breeze under the trees beside the lake.

Untitled Slide

  • Continuous as the stars that shine
  • And twinkle on the milkey way,
Countless stars that shine and twinkle along the molkey way.

Untitled Slide

  • They stretched in never-ending line
  • Along the margin of a bay;
The daffodils were spread inceasingly along the bank of the bay in a never ending line.

Untitled Slide

  • Ten thousand saw I at a glance ,
  • Tossing their heads in sprightly dance
In a single glance I saw about ten thousand daffodils shaking their head in a lively dance.

Untitled Slide

  • The waves beside them danced, but they
  • out did the sparkling leaves in glee,
The waves beside them also danced but the daffodils danced marvelously.

Untitled Slide

  • A poet could not be but gay,
  • In such a jocund company!
A poet cannot be more happy in such a jocund company.

Untitled Slide

  • I gazed and gazed but little thought
  • What wealth the show to me had brought
I gazed and gazed and thought a little, about what the nature had brought to me.
