German settlers came to what is now called Minnesota soon as the dakota started a war against the German people. the people it touched or scared for life but it only lasted for six weeks.

Multiple things cause the war, more settlers were coming, soon people started to started to starve I didn’t have enough food for their family because they could not go hunting, the promise of the selling the land the government promised they would pay but the payment was late and the traders were worried so they cut off credit to Dakota hunters,
Soon Dakota kill the white people and soon on August 18 they went to war.

Come Chris revoked all the three D’s between the US government and Dakota some of them were executed from Minnesota and were sent all over, family’s were torn apart.
