  • Dakota Means Friends or Allies.
  • Anishinaabe Means Original People.
  • Dakota Are Otherwise Known As Sioux.
  • Anishinaabe Are Otherwise Known As Ojibwe.

DIFFERENCES

  • They both had different types of homes to live in and transport.
  • They have different patterns for clothing and crafts.
  • They had different types of duties and different types of food
  • They lived in different places.
  • Both of the tribes are not from the same place & their names mean different things.

  • They both lived in Minnesota.
  • They did mostly similar activities.
  • They lived close to another.
  • They traded with each other.
