Every life cycle, the Dalai Lama reincarnates in to a new human being. This year, Lhamo Dhondup just so happened to be lucky enough to be the 14th Dalia lama.

He began education at age 6. It was not standard education though, it was Tibetan Monk education. The course consisted of ten subjects, 5 major and 5 minor. The major courses were Tibetan art and culture, medicine, logic, and Buddhist philosophy. The minor subjects were poetry, drama, music, astrology, synonyms, composition and phrasing. He passed at the age of twenty three, with the highest possible degree; Geshe Lharampa degree.
