  • How they grew: The growth of agricultural production resulted in the quick increase of cities Almost every city had an important center for an industrial production
  • The agricultural production flourished and growed due to the Dar al-Islam’s methods of crop rotation, irrigation, and fertilization
  • They had special trading items.The trading route had easy access to the Mediterranean basin.

  • They were tolerant of other religions
  • They seized the oasis towns first, so they could conquer many places

  • They would trade salt, steel, copper, and glass for gold and slaves from the west Africa
