WHAT IS DATING?

• Two people in an intimate relationship.
• Develops social skills.
• To have fun and enjoy the companionship of others.

HOW TEENS BEGIN DATING

• Lots of teens now usually begin by "talking". Then, they'd either agree on dating one another on go on actual dates.

POSITIVE QUALITIES

• Showing respect for the other person
• Being able to carry on a conversation
• Be genuine.

NEGATIVE QUALITIES

• Speaking of past relationships freely.
• Dominating the topic.
• Pointing out faults.

Infatuation V. Love
Infatuation is fake love, in a way. It lasts shorter, and doesn't last long. With real love, it builds over time and matures over time, too. Other's opinion doesn't matter in love, either.

AMERICAN V. INDIAN DATING

• In India, most "Dating" would be arranged marriages. Not even dating, just forced , marriages for both partners, as it would help one of the families.

SUMMARY

• Dating now is a lot more free and open. It's very laid back. But, it can also be the exact opposite. Jealousy is a very common theme in teen relationships. Most relationships are infatuate, compared to what they think it is, "Love".
