  • The Ludingtons lived 5 miles from the town of Fredericksburg which is in New York
  • Her town home was renamed Ludingtonville

  • Sybil had a brother named Henry ludington .He was a militia
  • She rode her horse named Star every chance she had.
  • Sybil was the oldest ludington daughter
  • Sybil also had a few sisters
  • She also had a mom and dad ,but we do not know the names

HER HORSE NAMED STAR

  • Sybil would ride star any chance she had.
  • Sybil rode star and other horses fearlessly and well
  • Sybil rode star at the age of 16 and rode her 40 miles to warn people
  • Sybil rode star to many different many places like....Carmel,farmers mill, and cold springs.

  • She set off on a 40 mile journey on star
  • The roads were unmarked and unpaved.
  • There were many Tories in the area.
  • If any one knew what she had been doing they would stop her
  • She had her horse star that could trust.She was a big horse women that had lot of knowledge of the countryside around her.

  • She rode in a circle through Putnam to part of the Dutchess counties
  • She galloped all night through Peekskill Hollow to Horse Pond road to the settlements of
  • Carmel, Mahopac, Kent cliff, and farmers mill.
