DAVID BEN GURION

David ben Gurion
was born 1886, October, 16 in Poland

His father was an enthusiastic zionist like his mother. He had no siblings. He went to Hebrew school as a child.

He got married to Paula Monbesz who was a zionist. They had 21 kids.

He started teaching at a jewish school in Warsaw. He joined a Poaleizion. He was prime minister at the age of 18.

He was in world war 2. He decided that the establishment of a Jewish state.

He was first prime and defense minister.

"Ours is a country built more on people than on territory. The Jews will come from everywhere; France, Russia, America, Temen..."

Jews are people and their more important than territory.

He died
December 1, 1973 at Tel Aviv-Yafo in Israel
