DAVID: THE RISE TO THE THRONE

• David was a young shepherd boy who one day decided to be brave and stand up against the greatest warrior in the philistine army. David had his sling, slung a rock at Golaiths head and cut off his head, defeating the great warrior

Saul was then made aware of David and did not let him return to his family because Saul wanted David to do missions for him.

• Saul wanted David to lead his army and of course he did.
• Saul soon became jealous of David and his popularity among the people.

• Saul then devised a plan to kill David. Saul was going to poison a spear and nail him to the wall ultimately killing him.

• Israel and Judah loved David because he led them onto their expeditions which made Saul fear David even more.

• Saul gave David his daughter in marriage because he said he will become his warrior and fight the battles of the Lord together

• Saul gets angry with David and David doesn't understand because he has been nothing but loyal to Saul. Saul sentences to a traitor death and David feels like he doesn't deserve that at all.

• David takes Sauls other daughter in marriage instead because she is hotter. This enrages Saul and David escapes his attempt to kill him yet again.

• David goes to a priest asking him for a weapon and the priest gives him the sword of Golaith.

• About 400 men joined David. Saul ordered that all priests be killed because they helped David. Only Abiathar escaped Saul. David and his men saved Keilah from the philistines. Saul came to Keilah so David escaped.
• Saul gave chase but he was called away. Saul went after David and David cut off a piece of Sauls robe but spared his life.

• Saul wept and said, "you shall surely be king." Samuel died Nabal insulted David so his wife Abigail pleaded for restraint.
• The lord struck Nabal dead and David married Abigail. Saul then came after David, david took Sauls spear and waited while he slept and ended up sparing his life. David then called to the lord and Saul blessed him

• David lived with the Philistines to hide from Saul. King Achish gave him Ziklag, a royal city that was not part of Israelis tribes. David quietly raided the land while lining there. The philistines found out about this and gathered for war. Saul asked a median to call out Samuel.
• Samuel said, "the lord will hand you over to the Philistines." So David and his men marched with Achish. The philistine generals said, "He will turn against us." Achish told David to go back and chill.

• The Amalekites had raided a near by city and the lord told David to go after them so David and his men rescued the women and divided the riches among their men.
• The philistines fought Israel. Saul's sons were killed. And Saul was badly wounded so he fell on his sword and died. And the Israelites fled.

• David moves to Judah and becomes king of the house of Judah.
• But other want to be under Isshabals rule.
• David has little babies👶🏽
• David then makes a covenant with Abner. And the covenant is that David will be king over all whom he wishes to rule.

• One condition of the covenant wants Michael as a wife and he scores her. Then these hoodlums kill Isshabal and David kills the people who kill isshabal. And then David becomes king of the house of isshabal.
• He philistines went to fight David after they found out he was king. And David leads them away from where he was.
