What is a fossils?

I am
going to tell you all about what is a fossil. First, fossils are remains of a plant or animal. Next, a fossil is an animal. Next, fossils are animal pieces buried underground. Then, some fossils are of individual body part such as shells, teeth, and bones. The last detail is by comparing fossil teeth to modern shark teeth, scientist figured out the biggest ancient shark was over 39 feet long and that is about as long as a bus! So we can learn a lot about fossils. Now you know a little more about fossils.

How fossils are formed

Do you want to learn how fossils are formed? Here's your chance. First, most fossils were formed under the sea. For example when a dead ammonite sinks to the sea bed. Next the shell was gradually buried in layers of sand or sediment. Then most fossils form over a very long time, because animals and plants are buried under mud and sand and slowly turn into rock. Now you've learned about fossils!

What are some features of the Ankylosaurs?

First, the Ankylosaurs lived 70 million years ago. Next, the Ankylosaurs had a wide skull and a tiny brain. Second, the Ankylosaurs had four short legs and 5 toed feet. Also, the Ankylosaurs had armored plates on its back. Now you know some interesting features about the Ankylosaurus.

What was the habitat and food that the Ankylosaurus ate?

First, the Ankylosaurs lived in the USA. We know this because we have found its fossils here. Also, its habitat was living in the warm and tree covered jungle. Next, the Ankylosaurs eats herbivores, so it is a meat eating carnivore. I hope you learned about the habitat and the food that the Ankylosaurus ate!
