HOW WAS IT FORMED

  • Two of the earths plates are continuing to moving apart.
  • Because they are moving apart the sea is estimated to sink 13 inches each year

Why is the Dead Sea famous

  • All of the different physical features make the lake famous
  • You can float with out a floaty
  • The salt makes like rolling hills under water
  • The lake is the saltiest in the world and some of the coolest salt walls

HOW IS IT CHANGING

  • The sea changes from all of the salt in the water settles. Then some of the salt stays where it settled and the rest of it dissolves
  • When the salt dissolves the water becomes more thicker then you can float

WHY IS THE DEAD SEA A ATTRACTION

  • The Dead Sea is a popular destination for the wealthy individuals because of its natural beauty and its beautiful location
  • The wealthy visitors are becoming to Jordan to stay at the many hotels on the lake and the Dead Sea has lots of city's on each side
  • There is about 3 million visitors a year
  • Many people who live in the area love to visit the lake because of the salt and the beaches

FACTS

  • 1,300 feet below sea level
  • 31.07 miles long 9.321 miles wide
  • Lowest spot in the world
  • Desert land and lots of rolling hills
  • There are no fish in the lake because the lake is to salty for any animal to live in the lake
