FACTS ABOUTDEATH VALLEY

  • Driest place in northern America
  • Located in eastern America
  • The valley is surrounded by mountains
  • Death Valley has a area about 3000 square miles

ARCHES

  • It is an arched rock that has a hole in the centre
  • Most natural arches for a narrow bridges

ALLUVIAL FANS

  • Fans are mostly found where canyons are draining from mountainous terrain
  • Comes out onto flatter land
  • Death Valley contains salt pans which indicates that the area was once
  • A large inland area sea

PEDESTAL ROCKS

  • They can be called mushroom rocks or chimney rocks
  • Caused by strong wind
  • The wind would be blowing sand
  • Which 'eats away the bottom of the rock
  • Also can be caused by glacial reactions

V SHAPED VALLEY

  • There are no v shaped valleys in Death Valley
  • It is very hit and little rain occurs
  • But a v shaped valley can be caused by corrosion along the stream bed
