PRESENTATION OUTLINE
The call to the adventure is when Ben decides to go with madec the liar on a guided hunting trip Ben as the guide (11). When Ben follows the call to adventure he is making a big risk because he has heard of Madec and how he can lie and deceive people into doing something.
Ben crosses into the unknown when madec tells Ben takes his clothes and boots off and give them to him (39-41)
. When Ben gives his clothes to Madec that is when Ben crosses into the unknown because this is something that is outside of his comfort zone.
A few of the tests is when Madec filled a watter hole that Ben found he would shoot at him, he tried to make him suffer, he left Ben butt naked with no weapon, no water or food, and he destroyed a camp that could have helped Ben (49, 69). There was only one helper in the book and it was the man that Madec killed, Ben found his camp and got a sling shot from his camp.
Ben's success starts when he realizes he needs to beat Madec at his own game (139). Ben also sneaks into Madec's camp butt naked and burns his tent with all of his suitcases and duffel bags, and shoots Madec with a slingshot (153, 156).
This is Ben's final task that he has to complete but he never cheated or lied. When Ben goes back he has tied up Madec no one will believe his story (158, 197). Ben then is now being charged with aggravated assault and maybe murder (179).
