One of the adaptations an animal forgoes is being able to camouflage themselves in the dense green of the forest. This wolf however,is Arctic and would not be found in a deciduous forest. Another example is thin fur. With thick fur the animal would get caught in many of the spiky plants and/or would be irritated at the amount of broken or obvious leaves on its back.
