Morning Message

  • Accidental or Intentional?
  • Why does it matter? When something goes wrong, recognizing whether it was accidental or intentional will help you to react appropriately. Only YOU can decide however what is the best way to react.

Some Definitions

  • Accidental: Something happens by mistake that wasn't planned
  • Intentional: The person wanted and planned for something to happen

DECISIONS

  • What should you do if someone upsets or hurts you?
  • First, take a minute to pause. Breath in and out and make a list and determine was it accidental or intentional.
  • Think through and list at least two reasons why the person may have acted in the manner they did.
  • List at least three possible solutions.

POSSIBLE NEXT STEPS

  • Consider talking to the person calmly. Reach out for help from an adult if you need it!
  • Decide everyone has bad days and today someone was just having a bad day. Sometimes we mistreat the people we care about when we are upset. Decide to MOVE ON about your day!

Remember it's ok to feel upset when unfortunate situations occur.
However, it's all about the decisions we make on how we act that determine the game of life!
