• 11 workers were killed from the explosion.
• 16 more were injured.
• 8,332 different species were effected
• Many fish, birds, sea mammals and other species
• were effected from the spill.

Environmental Effects

• 4.9 barrels of oil were spewed in to the gulf of Mexico
• Much of it was burned out of the gulf
