WHAT ANIMALS MUST DO

  • Animals are forced to leave their homes
  • The animals go to a new habitat and sometimes die because they cannot survive there

FACTS

  • 18 million acres of land are lost each year
  • The rate of deforestation equals to loss of 20 football fields every minute
  • Half of the world's tropical forests have already been cleared

  • Deforestation affects water cycle.
  • Poverty, over-population, and unequal land access are the main causes of man-made deforestation

Deforestation happens when people need trees for medicines, paper, etc...

MORE FACTS

  • Money to save trees is mostly collected online
  • The total rainforest loss to date is 7.3 hectares per year

My solution is to educate more people so that they buy the things that don't cause deforestation.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

  • Use canvas or paper bags as another alternative
  • Pick products that require less packaging
  • Be active and plant trees
