LYME DISEASE

  • When bitten by an infected tick, the area which was bitten will develop a target-like rash
  • The tick will have buried its head in the epidermis of the subject.
  • The tick can be removed using tweezers, or the subject needs to see a specialist.

LYME DISEASE

  • Lyme disease is prevalent in New York State, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
  • This is because of their climates.

THE CLIMATE IS...

DECIDUOUS FOREST CLIMATE

LYME DISEASE CLAIM

  • If you live in a deciduous forest climate...
  • ...you have a greater chance of contracting Lyme disease.

I BELIEVE THIS BECAUSE...

  • ...Lyme disease is spread by ticks, and deer
  • Which are most common in the deciduous forest.

THIS HAPPENS BECAUSE...

  • ...ticks live in trees, and deer feed on nuts produced by the trees.
  • Because of the appearance of these animals there,
  • Lyme disease is more prevalent in those regions.
