Depression is when someone has feelings of despondency or dejection for more than two weeks

The most common symptoms of depression consist of fatigue, sleep deprivation or excessive sleeping, and a decreased appetite.
Depression causes serotonin levels in the brain to decrease dramatically and causes abnormal functioning of brain messages.
Serotonin is a chemical that is regulates mood balance in the body.

TREATING DEPRESSION

  • Sleep for 8-10 hours,nothing less or more.
  • Go outside everyday, lack of sunlight can make depression worse.
  • Socialize with friends and family.
  • Call 1-800-273-8255 to talk to a therapist.
  • Talk to a doctor and see if medication is right for you.
