SYMPTOMS: AT LEAST 5 PRESENT NEARLY EVERYDAY

  • Feeling sad, down or “empty”
  • Losing interest in daily activities that were once a source of pleasure for more than two weeks
  • Feeling hopeless, worthless or helpless
  • Changes in appetite, and losing or gaining weight (5%) unintentionally
  • Sleeping poorly (insomnia) or oversleeping (hypersomnia)

  • Feeling tired or having less energy
  • Having persistent feelings of guilt or worthlessness
  • Having trouble in thinking, concentrating or making decisions
  • Impaired function: social, occupational
  • Having thoughts of suicide (Get help immediately)
  • Decreased interest or pleasure in most activities
