Depth Of Field

What is it?

• *range of distance that appears acceptably sharp
• *The amount of which objects in the foreground 
• mid ground and background are all in focus
• at once. 

circle of confusion

• *how much a point needs to be blurred in 
• order to be perceived as unsharp
•  *When the circle of confusion becomes perceptible to our eyes, 
•  this region is said to be outside the depth of field and thus no longer 
• acceptably sharp

Rack Focus

What is it?

• to un focus and focus the camera
• lens to attract attention to a single object
• made by playing around with the depth of field
• provides great ways to change attention from one
• object to another in a single shot.
