Solution?
A law is passed that teens are allowed to work in a place with alcohol as long as they are supervised.

PROS

  • Teenagers will have jobs and make their own money
  • Can pay for cars, insurance, gas or any other needs teenagers have.
  • If teens are kept busy with a job it will keep them out of trouble.

CONS

  • If teens are exposed to alcohol they will have more temptation to drink it.
  • They will also have easier access to liquor or any other type of alcoholic beverage.

Support/oppose
Teenagers would support this decision because they will have more job opportunities. Also business managers that need employees support.
However overprotective parents will oppose. This is big because your parent has say in what you do until you are 18.

Benefit/suffer
Teenagers would obviously benefit from this law, but other employees would suffer. Teens would be taking over their jobs.

Trials
This law has not been tried, but other states have different laws.
In Texas you can be 18 years old and serve alcohol if you have a sellers permit.
In Utah you can serve booze If you are supervised by someone 21 years or older.

Surveys
Out of 52 people in the class that we surveyed, 81%of people would like this to pass as a law And 19% said no.
