DESIGN
- The state of Alabraska is about to be hit by an asteroid. Dayvon'te and Coltan ( The Asteroid Assassins ) are tasked to build an underground cavern to keep the people of Alabraska safe.

PROBLEM
- There is an asteroid headed towards the state of Alabraska, which holds 10,000,000 people.

GATHERED DATA
- The cavern will need to be 150 meters deep, and will be around one tenth the size of Alabraska
- The cavern will be 364km squared
- The best type of rocks to use for building the cavern are Granite, Gneiss, Obsidian, Slate, or Sandstone

LOCATIONS
- Our top three locations on the map grid to place the cavern, were F6, D22, and N7.
- We eventually found better locations and nailed it down to D22, O7, and H5.

TESTING
- We did rock/land and size testing
- For rock testing, we tested its hardness, color, grains, holes, luster, reactivity to acids, and buoyancy.
- Rock testing helped us to decide which rock would keep the cavern the safest.
- Size testing involved us determining the size that we needed the cavern to be, and how deep we should go.
- This helped us to know how the cavern should be constructed to keep the people safe.

FINAL LOCATION
- We finally decides that the best place to have our cavern was H5.
- This location was the best for the cavern, because it would be built in sandstone, which is one if the best types of rock, it has waterways near it, railroads, and highways. It is also close to a major city, and is far away from a fault line.
