Minibar is nice--follows you and leaves a trail of breadcrumbs so you can find your way back . . .

I love how this is profile dependent, and how it works as a portal. Very nice design.

I thought this was good, but I couldn't help comparing to Canvas as I heard what they had to say--and being a bit disappointed with D2L. 100mb, really? That's less than most small flash-drives. It sounded very inadequate . . .I wonder how much they make "upgrading" this file space for colleges for an extra charge . . .

Nice how you can get to content from the Calendar--but they don't have the drag and drop capability of Canvas, and I found it disappointing that the notifications don't go out in real time--they have to be "scheduled" on two-day notification schedule. This seemed bulky and awkward.

I was impressed with this part of their presentation. I liked the control of the content, the modules, how you can modify layout--and I really like the widgets. Very cool. WOW

Just like Canvas, a very nice quiz tool--I like how you can connect to standards--but became disappointed that you couldn't connect to institutional or departmental standards--only in-class standards--without an extra fee for the analytic package. GRRRRR.

How easy is it to transfer to D2L?

They provide train the trainer training, they transfer all the WebCT class content files.

After hearing the nice presentation at Canvas about how they allow the user to adopt changes as they come, and how they don't use versions--they just add updates--this "major update per year" thing made me a bit nervous . . . then, in the next breath, they were discussing how they could help train us after updates . . . eeeeek.

I think they need to do some more homework. After canvas told us they could transfer gradebooks attendance to Banner, D2L told us that was impossible--that you can only record final grades and they would have to build something to report attendance without the grade report.

This really lost me.
