Where do we begin?

Expectations

  • Define 3-5 Broad
  • Apply to all settings
  • Follow general rules on behavior
  • Include school mission statement
  • Make memorable

The most common are:
Be Responsible
Be Respectful
Be Safe

Rules

  • Decide on the behavior you expect from students
  • Base it on the setting and the expectations
  • Try not to have more than 5-6 rules per setting

Rules should:

  • Be stated positively
  • Concise
  • Observable and measurable
  • Specific to the setting
  • Clarify criteria for success
