Type 1 diabetes
Little or no insulin is produced so the person needs insulin injections

Type 2 diabetes
Pancreas doesn't make enough insulin so needs a sugar controlled diet.

Type 1 diabetes
Age of onset: before 20 years old

Type 2 diabetes
Age of onset: 40-60 years old

Type 1 diabetes
Symptoms: frequent urination, extreme hunger, extreme thirst, weakness and tiredness

Type 2 diabetes
Symptoms: increased thirst, increased urination, feeling tired, feeling edgy, feeling sick to stomach.

Type 1 diabetes
Complications: diabetic coma, hypoglycemia,nephropathy
Heart attack, stroke, amputation.

Type 2 diabetes
Complications: diabetic coma, hypoglycemia,nephropathy
Heart attack, stroke, amputation.

Type 1 diabetes
Treatment options: Sugar controlled diet, daily insulin injections

Type 2 diabetes
Treatment options: Sugar controlled diet, keep in a normal weight, some may need insulin injections
