  • Frequency is 10-15%

SYMPTOMS FOR TYPE 1

  • Appear suddenly
  • Extreme hunger
  • Extreme thirst
  • Extreme weight loss
  • Weakness

COMPLICATIONS

  • Blindness
  • Diabetic coma
  • Heart attack
  • Amputation
  • Low blood sugar

TREATMENT

  • Sugar control healthy diet
  • Exercise
  • Insulin injections
  • Regular testing of blood sugar level
  • Ketone tests

TYPE 2 DIABETES

STATISTICS

  • Ages 40-60
  • Frequency 80-95%

SYMPTOMS

  • Appear slowly
  • May not feely symptoms at all
  • Increased thirst, feeling tired, feeling edgy
  • Increased appetite
  • Loss of weight

COMPLICATIONS

  • Diabetic coma
  • Stroke
  • Heart attack
  • Blindness
  • Low blood sugar

TREATMENT

  • Keep in normal weight range
  • Diabetes pills or insulin shots
  • Sugar controlled healthy diet

  • In type 2 your body does produce insulin
  • The frequency is doubled the amount in type 2
