• Fish use gills to breath in the oxygen dissolved in water
• The mouth and throat force water over the gills
• Gills have a lot of blood vessels. The water has a higher concentration than the blood.

Difference

• Fish and squids are different. Fish have gills instead of lamellae
• Squids do not have gills so they have to get oxygen through lamellae other than fish
• The squid is a mollusk and the fish is a bony fish.
