PRESENTATION OUTLINE

DIGESTIVE SYSTEM

BY ROQUE P. AND JUSTIN K.

Digestive system
Allows an organism to take in food, break it down, absorb its nutrients, and excrete what is not usable.

MOUTH

FOOD ENTERS MOUTH IS BROKEN DOWN AND PASSES TO THE ESOPHAGUS

ESOPHAGUS

MOVES BROKEN DOWN FOOD FROM MOUTH TO STOMACH

STOMACH

SEPARATES WASTE FROM WHAT CAN BE USED

SMALL INTESTINE

NUTRIENTS ARE ABSORVED AND THE REST GOES TO THE LARGE INTESTINE

LARGE INTESTINE

ABSORBS WATER AND PASSES ON WASTE

PANCREAS

CREATES PANCREATIC JUICE THAT HELPS DIGEST IN THE SMALL INTESTINE

Excretory system
The excretory system relates to the digestive system because they both work together to remove waste and maintain homeostasis

The digestive system maintains homeostasis by taking in enough water and nutrients so the organism can remove waste without problems.
