DIGESTIVE SYSTEM

BY: EMILY FOK AND SAM ANDERSON

MOUTH=NUTCRACKER

BECAUSE THEY BOTH BREAK DOWN FOOD
Salivary glands help break down food in the mouth. This is an example of chemical digestion. Teeth chew up food which makes it easier to digest.

THROAT=SLIDE

BECAUSE THINGS GO DOWN THE THROAT
The epiglottis makes sure the food doesn't go down the wind pipe.

ESOPHAGUS=WATER PIPES

BECAUSE THEY BOTH PUSH THE THINGS DOWN
The villi inside the small intestine allows a passage for the nutrients to go into the bloodstream.

The pancreas produces enzymes for chemical digestion.

The liver produces bile and stores nutrients.

The gallbladder is a small, bag like organ that stores bile.
