WHAT IS PNEUMONIA ?
- lung inflammation caused by bacterial or viral infection,
- in which the air sacs fill with pus and may become solid .

- about 4300 kids a day under the age of 5 die from pneumonia.
- Pneumonia kills more people than AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis combined
- 98% of children who die of pneumonia are from developing countries
- Breast feeding a child in their first 6 months can help prevent pneumonia
