Rna

  • RNA is ubiquitous family of large biological molecules that perform
  • Together with DNA,RNA compirses the nucleic acid
  • Like DNA,RNA is assembled as a chain of nucleotides
  • While many viruses encode their genetic information using an RNA

mutation

  • In genetics, a mutation is a change of the nucleotide sequence
  • Mutations result from unrepaired damage to DNA and RNA
  • Mutations play a part in both normal and abnormal biological

Deoxyribose

  • Deoxyribose, or more precisely 2-deoxyribose, is a monosaccharide with idealized formula
  • Its name indicates that it is a deoxy sugar, meaning that it is derived from the sugar ribose
  • Since the pentose sugars arabinose and ribose only differ by the stereochemistry
  • Several isomers exist with the formula H-(C=O)-(CH2)-(CHOH)3-H, but in deoxyribose

Thymine

  • is one of the four nucleobases in the nucleic acid of DNA
  • As the name suggests, thymine may be derived by methylation of uracil
  • Thymine combined with deoxyribose creates the nucleoside
