CANDLES

PURPOSE

• The purpose of our project is to test if white candles burn faster than colored candles.

MATERIALS

• 3 candles
• 2 rulers
• Gloves
• Lighter

HYPOTHESIS

• If the white candle burns to the line first then we proved that the white candle burns faster.

PROBLEM

• Our experiment will find out if the color of a candle effects how fast it will burn.

PROCEDURE

• 1:Place three candles two inches apart.
• 2:Mark a line one inch down from the wick on each candle.
• 3:Light all three candles at the same time
• 4:Record the time it takes each candle to burn to the marked line.

CONCLUSION

• The white candles did burn faster than the colored candles. We accept our hypothesis.
