PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Dominating the Twitter

Courtney McGann -Content and Social Strategist

IMages

Images are insanely effective

IMages

  • Tweets with images get 18% more clicks, 89% more favorites and 150% more RTs -put simply, images are far more powerful on social media than text alone.

Images

  • Share or retweet -these don’t always have to be industry specific, in fact, it is best to throw in some “irrelevant” content regularly to avoid being stale and sales-y.

images

  • Share an original pic -the office, a new client, a project, company mug, co-workers, lunch, team outings, the radio station on your screen...

images

  • Create an original image -when creating images, I like to use a combination of Stock Photos that Don’t Suck from Medium.com and Canva.com

CALLS to Action

CTA

  • Calls to Action are words or phrases that guide your audience to take a specific action. As it turns out, CTAs work.

CTA

  • Simply by asking your audience to take a specific action, they are more likely to actually do so.
  • Examples of CTAs are "Please RT" "Retweet if you agree”, “Sharing is caring”. Any action you want your audience to take... ask them to take it!

Followers

Where are they and how do I get 'em?

Followers

  • 85% of Twitter users say they feel more connected to small and medium-sized businesses after following them...hat’s us!

Followers

  • Get your audience in focus -who are they? Who has already tackled that audience? Now go get their followers.

followers

  • There is a golden ratio of Followers/Following on Twitter, especially for businesses. It’s not good to be following far more people than are following you. So, use a tool like TweepDash.

Repurpose Content

It's doesn't grow on Trees -Have a stragtegy

Repurpose Content

  • Content can, and should always be repurposed. You’ve taken the time to collect, pretty-up and share this information -optimize each minute with a strategy.

repurpose content

  • This can be done for creating and sharing lists, newsletter content, presentations, host a webinar, create a Slideshare or Haiku Deck...there are so many ways to repurpose content, as long as you start with a strategy.
