Climate: tropical (annual average: 25°C)
Lanforms/geography:Mountains cover more than half of the Dominican Republic shares the island with its western neighbor, Haiti. The country’s landforms includes several mountain ranges, coastal plains, islands, lakes, rivers, and beaches.

Holidays&festivals and how they celebrate them:
January 21: Day of the Lady of Altagracia, many faithful followers go to the temple in Higuey to worship the Virgin

February 27 National Independence Day, various events are held for the heroes that fought for independence

Sports: Baseball is the most popular sport in the Dominican Republic today. They are the 2nd highest number of baseball players in MLB. Most baseball players from the Dominican Republic come to the United States and play for their teams
