  • He was born in Florence Italy in 1386
  • He was educated in the house of the martelli family
  • He was one of the renaissance's greatest sculptors
  • He died in 13 December 1466 (aged 80) Florence, Italy

  • Greatest sculptures include St. John, St. Peter, Herod's feast, and the equestrian statue
  • He was able to create sculptures in marble, bronze, terracotta and wood.
  • He learned metallurgy and the fabrication of metals as a goldsmith.
