  • Down Syndrome is usually caused by an error in cell divison.

Who it affects?

  • Down Syndrome affects everyone who loves you and cares about you.
  • It can hurt your loved ones to see you struggle.

Physical Characteristics

  • Distinctive Facial Features. 
  • Short neck, arm, & legs.
  • Weak mucsles and loose joints.

Mental/intellectual Characteristics

  • Disruptive, Impulsive, Inattentive, Hyperactive.
  • Chronic Sleep Difficulties.
  • Anxious
  • Stuck

Quality Of Life

  • There are 400,000 people living with Down Syndrome today.
  • Children with down syndrome fully participate in pub/pri education.

Medical Treatment

  • There is no single standard treatment for down syndrome
  • People with down syndrome are at a greater risk of health problems.

Ways the birth defect may be prevented

  • Down Syndrome can not be prevented.
  • It can be detected before a child born.
