Early career:
Theodor Seuss Geisel also known as Dr. Seuss started working as an illustrator in publications like Life, Vanity Fair among others.

When Dr. Seuss began to write children books, he was rejected many, many times.

Geisel's first children book was " And to Think I Saw it on Mulberry Street" 1937 (Luebering, 2019).

World War II

Dr. Seuss served in the U.S. Army from 1942 through 1946.

While in the Army, Dr. Seuss wrote a documentary that later was remade and won an Academy award although he was not credited.

In 1954 he released "Horton Hears a Who!"
In 1957 he published 2 of his best books, "The Cat in the Hat" and "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!".
