  • A group of actors or one person assigned to a particular role.
  • The man was cast to play the lead in Romeo and Juliet.

ASIDE

  • When an actor speaks to the audience like no one on stage can hear them.
  • The actor asked the audiance what they thought about a character like they werent even their.

ACT

  • A major segment or part of a play.
  • Romeo and Juliet were divided into five acts.

SCENE

  • A division within an act.
  • The first act contained seven different scenes.

STAGE DIERECTIONS

  • Directions for actors on were to go on stage and when to read there lines.
  • Jimmy always confused his left from his right until he read the stage directions now he's a pro

SET

  • The background or scenery of a play. They often change throughout the play.
  • The crew had to quickly change the set to the next one needed for the next act.

DIALOGUE

  • Speaking between characters on stage.
  • There dialogue started out calm but then became hostile and fierce.

MONOLOGUE

  • A prolonged talk by one character in a poem or drama.
  • The mans monologue began to bore the viewers because of its length.

SOLILQUY

  • A part of a drama where a single actor speaks alone.
  • The man talked in soliloquy alone in his room for hours.
