Savvy APP

"Savvy App is the Shazaam for clothing" "Get the Looks you Love for less"

How it works

  • Savvy App brings online clothing items into the palm of the consumer’s hand and allows them to become a more informed shopper.
  • User scans the barcode of an item they like when they are in the store. From the barcode, they are able to access online database of 100’s of stores. App then compares current prices across the entire database. User can “heart” the product that they have scanned and keep it in saved folder – the app will then notify user when item goes on sale.

problem

  • Shoppers do not have time to manually browse the web and physically visit each brick and mortar store to find clothing they like – it is inefficient. Because people value their time enormously, shoppers often pay a premium for clothing because it is a) at the store closest to them, or b) they don’t know if they can find it somewhere else.

Solution

  • • Savvy App capitalizes on the “future of shopping” and puts the power back in the consumer’s hands. Savvy App allows the entire clothing ecosystem (brands, department stores and e-commerce sites) to become more accessible to the shopper.
  • To gain Gilt's audience: Updating Gilt’s premise to the web 3.0 environment, which includes search, social, mobile

Audience

  • The beauty of this app is that it appeals to an extremely broad audience - males and females that are smartphone owners.
  • People that are price conscious, savvy shoppers.

Marketing

  • Social Share: If users invite friends then we would be able to give them a coupon at a partner store - Possibly use Gilt’s “Invite Friends” strategy
