2.You should apply the brake and put the car in park.
-Before exiting the car, check to make sure no cars are coming or passing go nearby.

3. Make sure you apply some heavy objects, like blocks, under the front and back tires.
- By doing this, it will prevent the car from rolling away when it is lifted up into the air.

4. Find the jack, wrench, and and a spare tire.
-Spare tires are normally in the trunk or under the car. When taking stuff out of the car, make sure you keep it nearby so that it doesn't get in the way of incoming cars.

5.Use the wrench to loosen the lug nuts by turning it counter-clockwise.
-However, do not remove the lug nuts, only LOOSEN them for now.

6. Line up the jack under the side of the vehicle. Then raise the jack until it's supporting the car up in the air but not too high off the ground.
Check that the wheels are 6 inches off the ground so that the car won't roll off.

8.Now remove the lug nuts and remove the tire off of the car.
- place the lug nuts all together so that they won't scatter away and possibly roll into a street.

9.Place the spare tire on the car.
-Push the spare all the way onto the wheel base until it can't go any farther to prevent it from being put on wrong or crooked.

10. Put the lug nuts into the spare tire.
-Avoid putting them on too tight since the wheel still needs to go back on the ground.

11. Lower the car back to the ground and remove the jack.
- Check that the car is fully stable on the floor before removing the jack so that the car won't roll off anywhere.

12.Now,make sure all lug nuts are tight with the car now placed on the ground.
-Check each lug nut's tightness so that no loose nuts remain to cause any further accidents.

13. Finally, after being all done, gather all tools and the flat wheel and put them in the trunk.
-Double check that no tools are left behind as they could become a hazard to other cars.

3. Using the red cable, attach both clips on the ends to the positive side of the batteries on both cars.

4. Using the black cable, attach one clip of the cable to the negative side of the battery of your car.

5. Then, attach the other end of the black cable to a piece of grounded metal on the dead car.
-Watch out and make sure that the metal of the dead car is unpainted.

6.Restart the disabled car's engine and see if it turns on.
-If it does, then make sure you keep the engine on for about 20 minutes to recharge the battery. If it doesn't, then you may need to get a new battery.

Finally, remove all cables from both cars and put them away before driving off in either car.
