Germany started invading land like Czechoslovakia and then they decided to invade France

Approximately 340,000 British French and Belgians were snatched from the shore.
On May 23, 1940 Gort ordered his commanders to retreat to the nearby port of Dunkirk.
On May 24, hitler ordered his tanks to halt their pursuit of the retreating allied forces.

The outcome.
Hitler made it through France and France was no longer able to fight, and Britain was our last allied source.

The significance? Germany gained confidence.
